That's why I want to offer genuine, personal and family hospitality, making every visitor feel part of the life of the place. Set in the quiet of the Puglian countryside, Il Casino Casalino is the ideal starting point for discovering the true soul of Puglia — its traditions and its most special corners.

Built in 1706, Casino Casalino stands in the countryside between Oria and Francavilla Fontana, in a landscape shaped for centuries by rural estates, olive groves and old country roads. Its imposing walls, reaching approximately six metres in places, still reflect the strength and character of Puglia’s historic buildings.

Over the centuries, the property has lived many different lives. It was once a church, later became stables and was subsequently used as a hunting lodge: a place of retreat, rest and escape in the Salento countryside. For many years it was known as Casino Ferrante, before taking its present name, Casino Casalino.

Today, the building is a B&B while retaining a strong connection to its past. Each room has a vaulted dome ceiling, preserving the distinctive architecture and sense of scale of the original structure, while the terrace offers a beautiful view towards Oria Castle across the surrounding countryside. Its ancient walls, intimate rooms and peaceful rural setting give the house an authentic and timeless atmosphere. A stay at Casino Casalino is an opportunity to experience a place that has not simply been restored, but has evolved over centuries while preserving its history, character and connection to the land.
